The children learnt how to conjugate the verb -Jouer, using cards and singing a song. They then said and wrote their own sentences using the conjugation.








Today,the children learnt the names of musical instruments. They also discovered that many instruments are spelt the same as in English, just pronounced differently. They learnt the sentence structure and the relevant agreement with feminine and masculine nouns, both verbally and written. With the help of a vocabulary mat, they were able to write sentences independently.








The year 5 children practiced expressing an opinion about a variety of music genres after listening to a variety of music clips. They all had a go at pronouncing J’aime and Je n’aime pas with thumbs up and thumbs down actions.
